The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) announced the 2026 Recreation Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities (ROID) Grants programdesigned to help municipalities and counties create inclusive, engaging recreational programs for residents with disabilities. This funding supports both short-term special events and long-term integrated programs such as sports, arts, after-school activities, and more, allowing all community members to participate in local recreation.
Each grant requires a 20% local match and must demonstrate a community impact by promoting participation and helping meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. Applications are due by March 31, 2026. Municipalities are encouraged to apply through the DCA Grants Portal.
