[ARCHIVED] State Launches Stop Overdoses Website

The Department of Human Services (DHS) announced the launch of StopOverdoses.nj.gov to assist residents in finding pharmacies offering free naloxone anonymously.  Naloxone is a medication that rapidly reverses the effects of an opioid overdose.

There are 610 pharmacies participating in the Naloxone365 initiative, which provides free naloxone to those ages 14 and older for free without having to provide a name or reason. No prescription is needed. One two-dose naloxone nasal spray kit is provided per visit. DHS is working on having more pharmacies join the program.

DHS urges anyone seeking addiction assistance to call 1-844-ReachNJ (732-2465), a 24-hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week addictions help line, where people facing addiction or their friends and family can get immediate assistance and support from live, New Jersey-based, trained addiction counselors. ReachNJ assists callers regardless of their insurance status.
