The NJ Department of Agriculture has announced the availability of grant money to assist counties and municipalities slow the spread and reduce spotted lanternfly populations across the state.
Nearly $5 million has been made available for the grant program with counties eligible to receive up to $50,000 and municipalities up to $15,000, each. Grant money will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis and will be provided to reimburse eligible costs incurred for spotted lanternfly chemical treatment activities.
Since applications will be approved on a first-come, first-served bases until all available funds are encumbered, you are encouraged to submit your application as soon as possible. No applications received after September 1, 2023, will be considered. Application forms and further information can be found on the Department of Agriculture website.
