U.S. Senator Menendez’s office announced that the application process for FY2024 Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) Requests is now available. The application deadline is close of business on Friday, March 17. This form can accommodate multiple project requests and has the ability to rank the priority of the projects.
Senator Booker’s Appropriations page will be updated shortly to outline the process. The deadline for spending requests to his office is also March 17.
The House of Representatives has not yet announced the process for Congressionally Directed Spending and will share when that information becomes available.
A League Lunch and Learn will be scheduled with staff from both senate offices in the next few weeks to provide application guidance. We will alert you when that is scheduled.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their projects to Senator Menendez as well as Senator Booker and their Member of Congress. Submitting the project to multiple offices can improve the odds of funding. As in most years, funding will be extremely limited.
Over the last two years, over 70 projects in New Jersey’s municipalities worth more than $108 million were funded because of the high quality of the applications that were submitted.
We encourage you to share this information with your municipal professionals and submit applications for funding.
