[ARCHIVED] Spending Updates

This week, the House and Senate passed a one-week extension of the Continuing Resolution. This gives negotiators one additional week to finalize the details of a spending plan by December 18.

The major sticking points are that Senate Republicans do not want to include funding for state and local governments and Senate Democrats do not want to include a liability shield that protects businesses and organizations from COVID-related lawsuits. Talks are ongoing, and we will keep you apprised as developments warrant.
