Communities have struggled with impactful issues in the past, but perhaps none more impactful than the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the shutdown in March, the lives of every person in the state have been changed. In local governments, COVID-19 has meant changes in every department, some that will go with the end of the pandemic and others that will profoundly alter the way municipalities operate. Sessions at the League Conference will cover matters on the topic from the need for laughter in times of crisis to school and municipal cooperation.
This letter is intended to provide elected officials timely updates on critical policy and administrative issues. Consider the following sessions when planning your schedule for the 105th Annual Conference, November 16-20. And if you can’t make it to all the sessions during Conference Week, you will have up to a year to catch up as these sessions will be recorded and available on-demand for registrants for one year.
