The New Jersey Division of Pensions and Benefits (NJDPB) announced the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP) Open Enrollment runs October 1-31.
The State Health Benefits Commission (SHBC) announced that the SHBP Open Enrollment period will begin on October 1. Information was sent to the current enrollees and administrators.
The SHBC met and adopted the renewal rates for Plan Year 2026 as Treasury prepares to finalize the open enrollment process. The League previously reported that AON, the actuary for the State, recommended, and the SHBC adopted a 36.5% rate increase for the Plan Year 2026 State Health Benefits Plan (SHBP) Local Employer Group.
Employees may, beginning on October 1, make changes to their SHBP benefits for the 2026 plan year. All changes must be made by October 31. For instructions:
- Log in to mynjbenefitshub.
- Look over your Benefit Summary in mynjbenefitshub to review your current benefits.
- Click Start Here in the Annual Open Enrollment banner to make your election changes.
- Complete your changes and upload documents for any newly added dependents by October 31.
The League will continue to provide updates from the SHBP as necessary.
