New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Announces Municipal Housing Profile Dashboard

Affordable Housing Posted on September 03, 2025

On August 27, the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) announced the Municipal Housing Profile Dashboard (MHPD). The MHPD is an interactive tool that provides the public with easy access to key data regarding housing in their communities, including detailed data on housing conditions, costs, production, needs, households in the state, and eviction filings and warrants of removal data at the zip code level for 2022 through 2024.

The MHPD’s data is updated annually. It aggregates data from the Department of Community Affairs’ Division of Codes and Standards, the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, the U.S. Census Bureau, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the 2025 Point-In-Time Homeless Count, and the New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts.

The MHPD can also be used by local planning and zoning boards and municipal housing liaisons as a reference when evaluating the housing stock, demand, and the needs for planning housing and affordable housing development. Developers can also use this tool to tailor their new developments toward fulfilling the unmet needs and demands of the community.

We encourage you to review the dashboard with your municipal professionals.
