The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has recently announced the Digital Equity Competitive Grant Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). This program aims to address digital disparities by providing nearly $1 billion in competitive grants to support communities impacted by digital divides.
Eligible entities, including local governments, non-profit organizations, local educational agencies, workforce development programs, and community anchor institutions, can apply for these funds. Interested applicants should review the NOFO and application resources and develop a timeline for completing their application. As you begin this process, you may want to start collecting written and signed partnership letters and authorizations.
Applications will be accepted beginning August 14 and must be received through the NTIA Grants Portal no later than 11:59 p.m. on September 23.
