This year, the League is working with the Community Foodbank of New Jersey to benefit state residents in need. Attendees are invited to donate non-perishable food items during Conference week. In coordination with the Community Food Bank of NJ, donation boxes will be located near entrances to the Exhibit Hall and around the Atlantic City Convention Center.
Most-needed items include canned protein, canned fruits and vegetables and beans and rice. Wondering what to bring? The CFBNJ reports that the most needed food items are:
- Canned Fish & Meat (Tuna, Chicken, Ham)
- Shelf Stable Milk
- Boxed Meals (Pasta, Cereal, Rice, Potatoes)
- Canned & Packaged Meals (Mac & Cheese, Chili, Soups)
- Peanut Butter (Plastic Jars Only)
- Canned Vegetables & Fruits
- Diapers & Feminine Hygiene Products
The Community Foodbank of NJ has a complete list of recommended donations. Please no glass, cellophane, bottled water, soda, or baby food.
