Tuesday, November 18 

2:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. Strategies for Threat Response & Infrastructure Protection (Room 201/202) 

Designed to equip attendees with the skills to respond to immediate threats and hazards, while also guiding organizations in strengthening critical infrastructure and addressing long-term risks. Registrars' session.  

2:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. From Roads to Rails: Shaping New Jersey’s Transportation Future (Room 307) 

Join us for a dynamic discussion with the visionary leaders of New Jersey's major transportation agencies as they explore the future landscape of transportation in the state. This session will delve into how each agency is strategically advancing New Jersey's economic vitality, enhancing mobility, and building resilient transportation systems. 

2:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. Empowering Action for Cleaner, Healthier Spaces (Room 401) 

Litter poses a challenge to communities, impacting public health, local economies, and the environment. Discussion of best practices on clean communities funding used for litter prevention, education, and enforcement. Participants will learn proven strategies, innovative solutions, and collaborative approaches that can be adapted for urban, suburban, and rural settings 

2:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. Charging Ahead: Planning & Funding for Fleet Electrification (Room 420) 

NJBPU, NJDEP, and NJEDA offer incentives for electric vehicles and charging stations. Learn the planning steps for electrifying municipal fleets of every class—starting with utility engagement and charging strategies—plus how to adopt a green-fleet procurement policy and embed chargers into new construction, renovations, and parking facilities.  

3:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Small Grants, Big Impact: Sustainable Jersey Success Stories (Room 421) 

See how Sustainable Jersey grants ignite outsized impact. Hear three inspiring case studies: a tiny town that grew its green team, a city-school partnership that doubled community reach, and a regional hub that scaled projects across borders. Leave with funding tips, partnership tactics, and fresh ideas to turn small awards into big sustainability wins. 

3:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Advanced Air Mobility – The Future is Here! (Room 315) 

A panel discussion of subject matter experts discussing the planning and operational aspects of electric aviation, a new mode of short-distance scheduled and on-demand aerial travel between vertiport hubs. 

Wednesday, November 19 

9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Stronger Fairer Forward: Progress Since the Economic Recovery Act (Room 301) 

Programs launched under the 2020 Economic Recovery Act—along with other NJEDA initiatives—are driving investment, job creation, and industry expansion across New Jersey. Join us for a conversation on the progress made so far and a look ahead at what’s next for our cities, main streets, and the vibrant communities that call New Jersey home. 

9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Partnership Toward a Resilient Transportation Network (Room 321) 

The link between NJ's highways and local roads calls for a common approach to infrastructure management. DOT’s partnerships with municipal governments and local engineers ensure that statewide investments and local priorities work together. Join Commissioner Francis O’Connor and his leadership team for an insightful session on how these partnerships strengthen the state’s transportation system.

Explore Sustainable Jersey’s newest actions and support. Learn about grants, technical assistance, and resources that help towns, residents, and businesses cut costs while boosting sustainability. Leave with practical steps to tap incentives, launch projects, and guide your community toward a greener, more affordable future. 

10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Bringing Broadband to Your Community (Room 418) 

New Jersey was allocated $263.7M through the federal Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program to expand high-speed internet access. Learn about the program and the plan for deployment in 2026. Panelists will share lessons learned in balancing local priorities, clarifying permitting and infrastructure roles, and ensuring projects align with both federal rules and local realities. 

10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 21st Century Energy Upgrades: Incentives for Municipal Facilities (Room 420) 

New incentives and technologies provide opportunities for energy and cost savings in municipal facilities. Learn how updated utility and NJ Clean Energy Program (NJCEP) incentives for building decarbonization, demand-side management, and new construction/gut rehab can help cut costs and carbon. 

2:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. Zero Is Possible: Advancing Complete Streets Initiatives, (Room 420) 

Learn how Complete Streets can drive NJ toward Target Zero through policy implementation, pop-up demos, and smart design. This Sustainable Jersey session will share statewide and local lessons, innovative tools, and collaborative strategies for safer streets for everyone and all modes including walking, biking, rolling, or riding transit, bringing the vision of zero traffic deaths within reach. 

2:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. The State of Water in New Jersey – Panel Discussion (Room 408) 

Experts will address managing PFAS contamination, replacing lead service lines, aging infrastructure, emergencies and drought on water availability and sustainability. Additionally, highlighting resources, including technical assistance and funding opportunities, and gaining valuable insights to enhance the resilience and safety of their community's drinking water. 

Thursday, November 20 

9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Transforming Communities: Unlocking Funding for Lead Remediation (Room 307) 

Discover how to leverage new DCA Lead Paint Remediation and Abatement funding for safer, healthier communities. Our expert panel will share best practices for complying with state lead inspection laws, using available resources, and engaging local partners to protect families and ensure no child is at risk from lead exposure.
