SHBP Annual Open Enrollment October 1-31

The New Jersey Division of Pensions and Benefits (NJDPB) announced that the State Health Benefits Program Open Enrollment runs from October 1 to 31.

CORRECTION: DLGS Issues Local Finance Notice on Recently Enacted PILOT Law 

We corrected our previous post regarding the DLGS's Local Finance Notice on the recently enacted PILOT law, removing language from the previous version of the Long-Term Exemption Law requiring that the municipality's chief financial officer transmit the 5% remittance directly to the county chief financial officer within 7 days of notification of the annual service charge. 

The Division of Local Government Services recently issued Local Finance Notice 2025-12, providing guidance on P.L. 2025, c.91, which amended the “Long-Term Exemption Law.”
