Bill Moving Housing Element to MLUL Up for Consideration Tomorrow 

On Thursday, the Senate Community and Urban Affairs Committee is scheduled to consider S-4451, which requires that the Housing Element be a mandatory component of master plans and makes additional costly and burdensome changes.

Adopt Sample Resolution Urging Restoration of Energy Tax Receipts

Governor Signs Bill to Prevent Public Brawls 

Governor signed A-4652 into law. P.L. 2025, c. 59 establishing the offense of inciting public brawl and upgrading the penalty for disorderly conduct in certain circumstances.

Employment Transparency Law Now in Effect

P.L. 2024, c.91, which requires transparency concerning compensation with promotional opportunities and employment listings, took effect June 1.

Senate Committee Advances Bill Increasing Insurance Costs 

Last week, the Senate Law and Public Safety Committee favorably reported S-2373, which provides employment protections for paid first responders diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder under certain conditions.

Treasury Report Sounds Alarm on State Health Benefits Plan
