Governor Signs Public Notice Legislation


On December 31, 2024, Governor Murphy signed into law legislation addressing public notices, which took effect immediately.

Governor Signs Bill Moving 2025 Primary Election Date

On December 31, 2024, Governor Murphy signed into law legislation rescheduling the June 2025 Primary Election Date. The new law took effect immediately.

Judge Rejects Stay of Housing Legislation


A coalition of almost 30 municipalities, the “Local Leaders for Responsible Planning,” filed a lawsuit to overturn the recently enacted Affordable Housing legislation, including requesting a stay on the implementation of the new law. On Thursday, the Mercer County Superior Court denied the stay.
