DOL Testifies Before Assembly Budget Committee on SFY2025 Budget

On Monday, April 22, Department of Labor Commissioner Robert Asaro-Angelo testified before the Assembly Budget Committee on DOL’s SFY2025 budget recommended allocation of $207.1 million and department achievements.

Governor Proposes $117 Million in Green Acres Program Investments

This week, Governor Murphy and Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Shawn LaTourette announced $117 million in recommended Green Acres funding for development and enhancement of parks and preservation of open space.

League Statement on the Passing of Donald Payne Jr

New Jersey State League of Municipalities President Bill Chegwidden, Mayor of Wharton, and League Executive Director Michael F. Cerra issued the following statement on the passing of Congressman Donald Payne Jr.:

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Congressman Donald Payne Jr. His service to the city of Newark, to Essex County, along with his family’s decades-long legacy of service to our state and country is an example of New Jersey’s leadership at its best.”
