As of February, municipalities, along with other government entities will have the ability to enter into public-private partnership agreements, commonly known as P3, with private entities for undertaking building and highway infrastructure projects. Under P3’s the private entity assumes final and administrative responsibility for the development, construction, reconstruction, repair, alteration, improvement, extension, operation, and maintenance of a project of, or for the benefit of, the government entity, provided that the project is financed, either in whole or in part, by the private entity. At the end of the agreement the government entity maintains ownership. This webinar will explain P3s, how they will work in New Jersey, and provide examples of successful local P3 projects. This is a must attend webinar for local officials looking to undertake a building or infrastructure project.
