Passing of BPU President Fiordaliso

Board of Public Utilities (BPU) President Joseph L. Fiordaliso passed away suddenly on September 7. President Fiordaliso was a BPU Commissioner since 2005. As a former Mayor of Livingston, President Fiordaliso understood firsthand the issues that faced municipalities, which was evident in BPU’s response to Superstorm Sandy.

President, Mayor Ray Heck of Millstone Borough, issued the following statement on Fiordaliso’s passing: “As a former Livingston Township Mayor, BPU President Fiordaliso never forgot the vital role of municipal government in New Jersey. In addition to being a trusted partner, he was always accessible, engaged, and genuine to the League and municipalities. Our state is better for his decades of service, and we sadly offer our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and BPU staff.”
