SHBC Plan Design Committee Meeting Summary

On Wednesday, the State Health Benefits Commission Plan Design Committee met for its February meeting. During the Director’s report, it was noted that 27 entities have left the State Health Benefits Plans since it enacted a nearly 23% rate increase for 2023.

During the meeting, there were presentations from various vendors, including MSK Solutions and Sword Health regarding Musculoskeletal benefit solutions, but no discussions on relief from the massive increase for municipalities, employees, and ultimately taxpayers.

The League, along with our partners with the Conference of Mayors and Association of Counties, continues to remain actively engaged in seeking relief and encourages you to continue your outreach to the Governor’s Office and your Legislators. It is important that your voices are heard in Trenton.
