New Jersey’s Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act (NJCUMMA) decriminalizes medical marijuana, but what does that mean for the workplace? The interplay between NJCUMMA, the Federal Controlled Substances Act, the various federal and state laws prohibiting workplace discrimination against disabled individuals, and the various laws affecting drug policies has caused confusion for many employers in New Jersey. In this webinar, we will explain those laws and discuss what protections medical marijuana users do and do not have in the workplace, as well as the negotiability of drug testing issues in the context of collective bargaining.
