The original item was published from June 3, 2021 3:31 PM to June 4, 2021 10:17 AM

On Thursday, the Division of Local Government Services (DLGS) posted the application portal for municipalities with a population under 50,000 to apply for funding allocated in the American Rescue Plan.

Pursuant to the U.S. Treasury Interim Final Rule, municipalities must provide required information including municode, NEU number, DUNS Number, contact information, and compliance questions from the American Rescue Plan.

In guidance from U.S. Treasury, they directed states to notify municipalities with their funding amount. The League has not seen a list of final funding amounts.

U.S. Treasury has provided guidance on permitted and prohibited uses. It is expected that further guidance from the state is forthcoming. Please review the League’s recent webinar and slide deck for more information.
