The Mayors' Legislative Day is unique occasion for local leaders to interact with individuals who are responsible for setting the agenda for Property Tax Reform, Affordable Housing, funding of the Transportation Trust Fund, Pension and Health Benefits Reform, Utility Issues, Shared Services and Sandy Recovery. It is also a great way to hear, first hand, about the State’s legislative agenda from the Governor, Administration officials and key members of the Senate and Assembly.
The 23rd Annual Mayor’s Legislative Day will take place on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at The State House Annex in Committee Room 4. Registration and networking begin at 8:30 a.m. with Welcoming Remarks at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Commissioner’s Roundtable with a Question and Answer Session. From 10:45a.m.to 11:45a.m. NJ101.5 News Correspondent Kevin McArdle will lead a panel discussion of the Legislative Leaders. . Rounding out the program is the League’s 17th Annual Elected Officials Hall of Fame Induction (for more information please visit www.njslom.org/hallelec_cover.html) Lunch will be followed by an optional informative tour of the Statehouse.
