The Mayors' Legislative Day is a unique occasion for local leaders to interact with individuals who are responsible for setting the agenda for Property Tax Reform, Affordable Housing, Pension and Health Benefits Reform, Transportation and Utility Issues. It is also a great way to hear, first hand, about the State’s legislative agenda from the Administration officials and key members of the Senate and Assembly at the start of the new legislative session. Following the Panel Discussion and Hall of Fame Inductees Ceremony, local leaders will have an opportunity to ask State Leaders questions that directly impact their municipalities.
19th Annual Elected Officials Hall of Fame Inductees
The Elected Officials Hall of Fame recognizes the many municipal governing body members who have selflessly served for twenty or more years. The Elected Officials Hall of Fame will shine a light on these pillars in our communities and hold them up as examples of civic pride for all citizens to emulate. At the 19th Annual Elected Officials Hall of Fame ceremony, presentations will be made to these special elected municipal officials.
If you know of any elected municipal officials, not currently in the Elected Officials Hall of Fame, who have served at least twenty years in elected municipal office, you may nominate them by visiting the League’s website, www.njslom.org. You may make several nominations. Confirmations will be mailed to the nominees in January 2017. A list of the 2017 Inductees will be posted to the League of Municipalities’ website and published in the April issue of the New Jersey Municipalities.
1:00p.m. - State House Tour

history, art and architecture. The tour will include the Senate and
Assembly Chambers, party conference rooms, the rotunda and
