Today, the Council on Affordable Housing (COAH) approved its “third round” regulations and proposed amendments to the regulations, which are anticipated to be effective in the fall.
League Executive Director Bill Dressel issued the following statement in response:
“The League articulated the numerous concerns of local governments and taxpayers with the COAH regulations. The amendments approved today by COAH are substantive, and they will take weeks to fully review. On face value, it appears that some of the concerns of local governments and taxpayers may be addressed. We remain concerned, however, and will undertake a review of these amendments to assure that the financial burden for development does not continue to fall on local property taxpayers.”
