MAYOR PALMER TO WELCOME DONATION OF BOOKS FROM HCINJ, REACH OUT AND READ COLLABORATIVE WITH THE LEAGUE OF MUNICIPAILTIES:
FOR TRENTON PRESCHOOLERS
Mayor Douglas H. Palmer at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 27th, at the New Jersey State League of Municipalities (NJLM) headquarters at 222 West State Street will personally thank a coalition of organizations that is providing books to Trenton children.
The Mayor will be joined by a group of four-year-olds from Trenton’s in-district preschool program, which will be receiving the books and using them in its re-enrollment and Pre-K Fair programs in the next few weeks.
The brief program will be hosted by Chairwoman Louise Wilson of the NJLM Education Foundation and also will include Haskell Berman, Chief of Staff to the President of the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey, and representatives of the Reach Out and Read and Children’s Futures organizations, which last year distributed 11,900 age-appropriate books in local pediatric waiting rooms.
