MUNICIPAL LEADERS TO MEET IN TRENTON FOR 17TH ANNUAL MAYORS’ LEGISLATIVE DAY **TOMORROW**

Hundreds of New Jersey mayors and municipal governing body members will converge on Trenton to hear from the Governor and key Legislators on the State’s priorities for 2009, and beyond.
Governor Corzine will provide insight into his legislative and budgetary priorities.
Jim Hooker, NJN’s News Anchor and Managing Editor, will direct questions to a panel of legislators, including Assembly Minority Leader Alex DeCroce, Budget Committee Chair Louis Greenwald, Senate Minority Leader, Steven Sweeney, Senators Ron Rice, Chair, Senate Community and Urban Affairs Committee, Kevin O’Toole and Philip Haines joined by veteran Mayors Bob Bowser, Jim Anzaldi Louise Wilson and Gary Passanante.
Municipal Governing Body members with more than twenty years of service will be inducted into the League’s Elected Officials’ Hall of Fame.
Mayor Randy Brown, Evesham, Chairman, League 2010 Census Awareness Committee, along with US Census Representatives will invite Mayors to participate in the “2010 Get Out the Count” partnership with the US Census.
League President, Mayor Tim McDonough of Hope will host the event.
