League Magazine Wins Top Honors
The monthly magazine of the New Jersey League of Municipalities, a group that represents municipal officials statewide, has won a Gold Award for publication excellence.
New Jersey Municipalities magazine was recognized by MarCom, whose communications contest for marketing and communication professionals is among the largest in the world. Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.
There were almost 5,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries in the 2010 competition. Participants range from individuals to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies.
“We are honored that the League magazine has received this recognition. NJM is a key resource for elected officials throughout New Jersey since 1915, “said Bill Dressel, the League’s executive director.
Winners were selected from over 200 categories in seven forms of media and communication efforts. About 18 percent of the entries won the Gold Award, which is presented to publications that are judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm.
