RE: November 19 Meeting Christie/Guadagno Red Tape Review Group Local Officials Invited to Testify
As part of the 94th Annual New Jersey State League of Municipalities Conference, conference attendees are invited to meet with members of the Christie/Guadagno Administration transition team Thursday, November 19 at 2:00 PM in the Atlantic City Convention Center Hall A.
The Red Tape Review Group has been formed to perform a top-to-bottom review of New Jersey’s regulations – removing unnecessary constraints to economic growth while helping the state run more efficiently. This effort will bring both elected branches of government together in a bi-partisan fashion to perform this review of New Jersey’s Administrative Code.
During the Transition, Lt. Governor-Elect Kim Guadagno and her team will begin the fact finding effort immediately and would like to hear from local government officials. This meeting during the League Conference will allow local officials the opportunity to discuss local mandate issues with the Review Group.
The meeting will be chaired by League Mandate Review Committee Chairman, Mayor John Bencivengo of Hamilton. League President Mayor Timothy McDonough of Hope will welcome the Transition team.
If any mandates are plaguing your budget, please try to take advantage of this unique opportunity to set the wheels of reform in motion.
Very truly yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
