Re: A Salute to Women in the Military
Women In Municipal Government Breakfast
Thursday, November 19, 2009
On Veterans Day, November 11th, we came together as a Nation to thank and honor Veterans for their service. We did this through community parades, flag raising ceremonies and military tributes.
At the upcoming conference we are going to thank and honor the Women in Military with Major General Maria Falca-Dodson, Commander of New Jersey Air National Guard, as our guest speaker.
More than 2 million American women have served in the armed forces throughout our Nation’s history. Today, nearly 500,000 women serve in both active duty and reserve capacities. According to the Department of Defense, as of September 30, 2008 there are 275 Major Generals serving in the military, of which 13 are women.
Major General Falca-Dodson will be speaking about the triumphs and tribulations she experienced rising through the ranks of the military while simultaneously balancing her family life.
Limited tickets are still available to this extraordinary event, which includes a full service breakfast buffet, and will be available for purchase on a first come first serve basis at the Atlantic City Convention Center, 2nd floor at the end of the on-site registration counters beginning Tuesday, November 17, 2009. No tickets will be sold at the door. The $45.00 ticket can be purchased by cash, check or voucher. No credit cards will be accepted.
Very Truly Yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
