RE: H1N1 Update Conference Call

Dear Mayor:

David Agnew, Deputy Director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, has asked us to inform you that his Office, along with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), is inviting mayors and other local officials to a special call at 2:30 PM (EST) Thursday, November 5th. The call will feature Dr. Anne Schuchat, Chief Health Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Dr. Clare Helminiak, Deputy Director of Medical Surge in the Office of Preparedness and Emergency Operations.

Dr. Schuchat, Dr. Helminiak, and members of the Administration’s Intergovernmental Affairs team will provide updates on the H1N1 Influenza situation nationally, discuss available federal tools and resources, and describe the status of the vaccination campaign.
