RE: Important Conference Sessions Two Timely Issues (2010 Census and Swine Flu)
Dear Mayor:
This is our sixth letter highlighting League Conference sessions. Today we highlight two timely issues – the upcoming 2010 Census and the H1N1 influenza virus. For more information on these and other sessions, visit the League’s website at www.njslom.com. Also, be sure to read more about these sessions and the Conference in the October and November editions of our magazine, New Jersey Municipalities.

In addition to these formal sessions, you should also be aware that personnel from the State’s Department of Health and Senior Services will be available at Table #25 for one-on-one consultations on “H1N1 Preparedness” during our Consulting Period, at 3:00 p.m., in Hall A of the Convention Center, on Tuesday, November 17. And, at Tables # 28 and 62, you can get more information about how to make certain the 2010 Census results in a complete count for your municipality and our State. The Consulting Period is a unique opportunity to get direct answers to all your questions on these, and myriad other, issues confronting local officials right now.
We invite you to visit the U.S. Census Bureau’s exhibit (booth #1877) in the exhibit hall. Also, more Census 2010 promotional materials highlighting the League’s logo and Census 2010 message on “getting out the count” will be available throughout the week at the Mayors’ Information Center, on the exhibit floor.
Very truly yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
