RE: U.S. EPA Workshop on Brownfields Clean-up Grants
US EPA, with the support of NJ DEP, is hosting a workshop designed to assist local governments and non-profit organizations to learn about the 2010 EPA Brownfields grant opportunities and to understand the proposal criteria and selection process for the EPA Brownfields Assessment, Cleanup and Revolving Loan Fund grants. The following topics will be addressed during the workshop:
1) The different EPA brownfields grant types and candidates eligible to apply.
2) The grant application process and the threshold and ranking criteria.
3) Proposal tips and strategies.
These grants have been used successfully through New Jersey to advance the remediation and reuse of brownfield sites. They also represent an opportunity to put your federal tax dollars to work here in New Jersey. We encourage you to attend the workshop make application for these funds. EPA staff will be available after the presentation to conduct one-on-one assistance on specific brownfields sites.
