On September 16, the New Jersey – Israel Commission will be hosting 15 Israeli clean-tech companies for a one day conference at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst, NJ. (The delegation will also be hosted for a day in Philadelphia, PA and New York, NY).
The companies and technologies that will be presented at this conference will be of great interest to municipalities as they look to identify how to make their towns “greener” by implementing new technologies and solutions. Municipalities are now more than ever focusing on becoming more energy efficient and are looking for new ways to adopt green technologies such as wind and solar power in their cities. Municipalities are also identifying how to access new funding for energy efficient improvements from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Many of the companies from Israel will need to set up facilities in the U.S. and this conference will present New Jersey as a top location. Municipalities can benefit both from the technologies these companies present and from the economic impact of companies locating to our state’s cities and towns.
