ANJEC is hosting an Information Session WEBINAR
on the NJ LOCAL GOVERNMENT GREENHOUSE GAS REDUCTION GRANT PROGRAM Tuesday, August 11, 2009 7:30 - 8:30pm
In this 1-hour webinar, speakers from the NJ Department of Environmental Protection and NJ Board of Public Utilities will discuss what municipalities, their environmental commissions and other local government entities need to know about the purpose, criteria, and application process for this significant new grant program.
The webinar is free, but participants must register in advance to attend. The session is limited to 150 people, and open to the public as well as ANJEC members. All you need is an internet connection and separate phone line. To register, send an e-mail to email@example.com, or call 973-539-7547. Registrants will receive an e-mail with sign-on instructions from ANJEC.
The Local Government Greenhouse Gas Reduction Grant Program is funded by a portion of the proceeds of carbon emission allowance auctions under the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
The grant program will fund municipal, county, board of education and county college programs and projects that are likely to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
It is limited to projects or programs for which there are no, or limited, other funding sources.
