Re: Process for Filing Consumer Complaints Concerning Banking and Insurance

Dear Mayor:

The following bulletin has been issued by the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance and is posted on the Department's web site.  It has come to the attention of the Department that consumer complaints and inquiries concerning regulated institutions continue to be sent directly to the consumer protection units of the Department’s Insurance and Banking Divisions rather than to the appropriate agency. Therefore, it is issuing the bulletin to clarify the process.
