Dear Mayor:

I. Age-Restricted Conversions, S-2577/A-3772

On Thursday, the Governor signed S-2577/A-3772, which allows developers to seek the conversion of certain age-restricted units to market rate units. The act is immediately effective.

If you recall, the Governor conditionally vetoed the legislation, which originally passed both Houses of the Legislature in March.    For more on this issue, please see our Dear Mayor letters of May 19 and May 4.

II.  Hotel Liquor License Caps, A-2896/S-1968

The Governor also signed A2896 / S1968, which caps bids municipalities may require for certain hotel liquor licenses.
