The Governor’s BUDGET CUTS are now in the hands of the Legislature and we, the New Jersey State League of Municipalities, are getting mixed signals from the Administration and the Legislature.
The League’s position has been and continues to be to RESTORE the full $189 million dollars cut from municipal aid. I urge you to attend the
“STATE BUDGET SUMMIT,”
Tuesday, May 20, 2008
9:00 a.m. - Noon
War Memorial George Washington Ballroom
West Lafayette Street
Trenton, New Jersey
This is our time to meet with State Representatives on both sides of the aisle. We need to focus and concentrate our efforts, NOW. We can be specific about property tax impact, loss of services, etc. If they want to discuss phase-in reduction, we need to participate. This is urgent.
Please download the registration form on line at www.njslom.com and click on the Calendar of Events or call the League office if you need a registration form faxed. The registration fee, which we have held to a bare minimum, will be $25.00 for elected and appointed officials serving member municipalities.
