Re:  Urgent: Sustainable Jersey Grant Application Resolution Update

Dear Mayor:

Please be advised: The deadline for submission of municipal resolutions in support of the Small Grant funded by Wal-Mart has been revised.

The application deadline for Sustainable Jersey Small Grants funded by Wal-Mart remains May 7th, however the deadline for submitting the resolution in support of the grant application (see grant application) has been extended to May 14th. The grant proposal and other attachments must still be received by Thursday, May 7th. If the resolution is not included with the application, please indicate the expected date of submission.  Applicants that have not submitted an approved resolution by May 14th will not be considered.

The extended deadline applies only to the resolution portion of the application, and no other materials received after May 7th will be accepted. Please also note that municipalities must be registered with Sustainable Jersey by May 7th in order to apply, and registration requires the adoption of a different resolution stating the town’s intent to pursue Sustainable Jersey Certification. A sample registration resolution can be downloaded at www.sustainablejersey.com.
