Documentary – Green Builders

Dear Mayor:

On April 15, the New Jersey State League of Municipalities had the pleasure of joining other leaders in the environmental movement for a very special preview of a documentary produced by NJN entitled Green Builders.  This one-hour piece focuses on the many pioneers among us in New Jersey, including our municipalities, who have taken the leap into making their part of the built environment energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

The event was also a great opportunity for the League to introduce to a wider audience the work of its Mayors’ Committee for a Green Future and the toolkits now posted on our website,  And I was happy to carry forward the message of the League’s commitment to these issues and the rapidly growing number of municipalities engaged in this effort.

If you were not able to view Green Builders on Monday April 21st at 9pm or Friday April 26 at 3 pm, I urge you to consider purchasing a copy from NJN for $24.95 including shipping and handling.  I believe you will find the documentary useful in your work, especially as the documentary shows how costs are going down and savings and benefits are going up.  You can do this by visiting the NJN website at  where you will also find extensive information on the making of the documentary and the growing movement around the issue.  Please also know that NJN would appreciate receiving your feedback on the documentary, which again can be made through the NJN web site.

                                                                        Very truly yours,

                                                                        William G. Dressel, Jr.
                                                                        Executive Director
