Dear Mayor:

I write to provide you with details regarding upcoming meetings in the region on the Highlands legislation.

Tonight, Wednesday April 7, 5 PM to 7 PM, a meeting will be held at the Morris County Cultural Center, 300 Mendham Road, Morris Township for Morris County municipalities.

On Tuesday, April 13 a meeting will be held predominantly for Hunterdon, Warren, Sussex and Morris officials at Centenary College in Hackettstown from 7 to 10 p.m.

Additionally, joint meetings of the Senate and Assembly Environment Committees will be held to discuss the legislation as follows:

April 15, 2004: 7:00 PM: Voorhees High School, Lebanon Township, NJ
April 22, 2004 10:00 AM: Committee Room 4, Statehouse Annex, Trenton, NJ

These, and additional meetings will be posted on our website, under "Quick Link" and "Highlands" as soon as we hear of them.

Please note that in the upcoming days, the League will mail to the municipal clerks of every Highlands municipality a thorough analysis of the Highlands legislation, flagging issues of particular interest to municipalities. This analysis will also be available on our website.
