Dear Mayor:

ON behalf of the NJ League of Municipalities and NJN Public Television & Radio, we invite you to attend the premiere of Green Builders, NJN’s most recent documentary, in high definition at NJN’s Studios in Trenton on Tuesday, April 15, at 4:30 pm.

The New Jersey League of Municipalities is partnering with NJN on the screening, at which mayors, through the League’s Mayors Committee for a Green Future, will share their perspectives.  The League is also disseminating a new educational tool-kit to accompany Green Builders to share with the people of New Jersey.  See the League’s Website for more information at http://www.njslom.org/Green_Future_committee.html

A quiet green revolution in the building world is evolving, and a first wave of innovative green design projects large and small have already hit the ground. NJN’s one-hour high definition special Green Builders profiles a cast of green building pioneers who have taken the leap into making their part of the “built environment” a more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly place. Green Builders airs on NJN on Monday, April 21, at 9 pm, and Saturday, April 26 at 3 pm.

From The Willow School to PNC Bank to the first solar-hydrogen home called The Hopewell Project, people talk about why they made the move to go green, what the challenges were, and how their project has fared.  Green Builders was produced by NJN’s writer-producer Bob Szuter, who also produced The Highlands Rediscovered and Turning the Tide.

We look forward to honoring the documentary’s funders – The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and the Cape Branch Foundation – at the premiere.  Additionally, NJN is partnering with The Star-Ledger – anyone who buys a DVD of Green Builders receives two free passes to attend the Global Green Expo 2008 at Liberty State Park from April 25 through 27.

We hope you will join us.  Please let us know if you can attend the premiere on April 15.  Contact Sharon DeLuca by email at sdeluca@njn.org or by phone at (609) 777-5001.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

William Dressel
