Re: NJ Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony Scheduled

Dear Mayor:

We have attached a "Save the Date" card for the May 3rd, New Jersey Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony
(http://www.njslom.org/NJ-Hall-of-Fame-2009.pdf)

Jon Bon Jovi, Shaquille O'Neal, Jerry Lewis, Althea Gibson and Abbott and Costello are among several prominent New Jerseyans being inducted, as the Class of 2009.

We congratulate the following towns, whose favorite sons and daughters will be honored:
Asbury Park
Camden
East Orange
Hackensack
Hillside
Newark
New Brunswick
Paterson
Perth Amboy
Princeton
Rahway
Rutherford
Sayreville
Wall Township
And we invite them to visit the NJ Hall of Fame Montage Link
http://www.mojogroup.tv/NJHOF.php

Please feel free to visit the NJHOF's website at www.njhalloffame.org to view exciting footage from last year's inaugural ceremony, and to learn more about the Hall of Fame.

Thomas Edison, Bruce Springsteen, Albert Einstein, General Norman Schwartzkopf, Buzz Aldrin, Yogi Berra and Toni Morrison were among the 1st class of inductees last May, and will be showcased in the several museum exhibits being established throughout the State.

Mayors and council people in New Jersey are encouraged to demonstrate pride in their respective communities by nominating their own favorite sons and daughters for possible induction into the Hall of Fame. You may access the nomination form at http://www.njhalloffame.org/vote2008/nomination_form.php

The Hall of Fame will consider any and all suggestions. A panel of experts narrows the master list down each year, and then the Hall of Fame's Academy Members and the general public help decide which nominees are ultimately inducted.

We hope you agree that the New Jersey Hall of Fame is a great way to celebrate the Garden State, honor our legends and inspire our children.

We hope to see you on the "Red Carpet" on May 3rd!

Very truly yours,

Timothy C. McDonough
President, NJLM and
Mayor, Hope Township
