RE: All US Justice Department
Stimulus Grant Info Posted
Dear Mayor:
The Department of Justice has recently posted the remaining competitive discretionary grant program solicitations under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. These grants are all now up on Bureau of Justice Assistance’s website.
Mitch Herckis of the National League of Cities (NLC) has provided us with the links to the following competitive discretionary Recovery Act Solicitations for municipalities.
You can learn more about the Office of Justice Programs' implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and funding, for which you may be eligible to apply.
As most of you know by now, Attorney General Holder had previously announced the opening of the COPS Hiring Recovery Program (CHRP), which you can apply for here: http://www.cops.usdoj.gov/Default.asp?Item=464. You can read NLC’s Press Release on the announcement here.
This was the second major grant announcement from the Department of Justice, as the Byrne Justice Assistance Formula Grants were opened a week before, available here: http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/BJA/recoveryJAG/JAGrecoveryLocal.pdf.
You can also access all of this information at the Grants Resource Center on our webpage at www.njslom.org/grants.html
Very truly yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
Executive Director
