Dear Mayor:

Per your request, the attached sample resolution opposing S-770 and A-1645 which mandates the appointment of a qualified purchasing agent can be modified as you wish to fit your situation.

S-770 was released from the Senate Community and Urban Affairs Committee and is presently poised for action by the full Senate. The companion A-1645 awaits hearing in the Assembly Appropriations Committee.

As stated previously, we do not perceive a crisis in purchasing functions that warrant this mandate upon our taxpayers.
