Governor Jon S. Corzine today announced the launch of a comprehensive Web site outlining the allocation of New Jersey’s share of economic stimulus funds under the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), and the members of a task force to ensure the funds are properly spent.
The Web site was created to give the taxpayers of New Jersey the ability to monitor the distribution and spending of federal stimulus dollars, Governor Corzine said. In addition, last week the Governor announced the creation of an oversight group, the New Jersey Recovery Accountability Task Force, to review the distribution and award of federal stimulus funds. The task force will be co-chaired by Governor’s Chief of Staff Ed McBride and State Comptroller Matt Boxer. It can be accessed at: www.recovery.nj.gov
