On Tuesday, February 17, the League’s Economic Development Task Force convened to discuss the New Jersey’s economy and the future of economic development in the Garden State.
During the meeting, Jerry Zaro, Chief of the Governor’s Office of Economic Growth Chief, highlighted the rich and broad array of financial incentives for companies large and small offered by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA). Many companies may not be aware of the wonderfully diverse and helpful programs the state has to offer. It would be enormously helpful if you would disseminate the enclosed summary of available EDA programs to your colleagues. This will help “advertise” our programs and help your membership to understand how they can better serve the businesses in their communities.
Under the direction of Governor Jon S. Corzine, the Office of Economic Growth is a “one-stop shop” for New Jersey businesses. We welcome the opportunity of becoming directly engaged with companies in addressing their problems, navigating the various agencies of State government, and solving problems quickly so that we can preserve and create new jobs here in New Jersey. Please encourage your membership to call upon the Office directly so that we can be helpful in this regard.
Detailed information on all of New Jersey’s incentive and financial programs can be found on the Business Portal at www.newjerseybusiness.gov. Should you have any additional questions or have projects on which you require assistance, we encourage you to reach out to the Governor's Office of Economic Growth at 609-777-0503 or the Economic Development Authority at 609-777-4471.
With all Good Wishes
