Re: Family Leave Act and Public Accommodations
Dear Mayor:
The New Jersey State Law Against Discrimination states that organizations and agents, which provide the public with employment, housing and public accommodations, are obligated to display New Jersey’s Anti-Discrimination Poster. Failure to display the required posters is punishable by law.
Posters must be displayed in locations easily visible to all employees and applicants for employment, all prospective tenants, and purchasers, all persons seeking or using the accommodations.
Is your Civil Rights poster on the Family Leave Act and Public Accommodations current? Posters dated 1/07 or later contain the most recent changes to the law, and meet posting requirements. To receive the Division of Civil Rights’ posters, visit http://www.njcivilrights.org/posters.html.
Very truly yours,
William G. Dressel, Jr.
