We would like to draw your attention to some important new information on the website of the Division of Local Government Services.
1. The Division has completed the update of the Budget, AFS, and ADS forms. They are now posted on our website at www.nj.gov/dca/lgs/fiscal/budmenu.shtml#CYBudInfo. None of these forms are designed for submission via e-mail. All require live signatures and sending a hard copy to the Division. While this may change in the future, for the time being we cannot accept them as worksheet files.
Municipalities that have sent worksheet copies of the ADS are asked to print them out, certify them and submit the printed copy to the Division.
2. With the upcoming election, Fire District Commissioner's need to be certain that the "Amount To Be Raised By Taxation To Support The District Budget" is the SAME amount when you report it on each of the following documents:
A) The Adopted Budget: Page 5, Line R-5

B) The "Results of Annual Election" form that MUST be submitted to the
Division of Local Government Services immediately after the election.
C) The amount certified by the Fire District to the Tax Assessor of the municipality including the tax rate information.
