RE: DHSS Announces Increased H1N1 Vaccine Availability

Commissioner Heather Howard of New Jersey’s Department of Health and Senior Services has asked us to provide you with important new information regarding the increased availability of H1N1 flu vaccine. In the memo, Commissioner Howard asks local officials to consider hosting employee-based vaccination clinics for your employees. If you are interested in this, you should contact your local and county health officers. The Department has a wealth of information on its website-including-a resource center, a call center, a Find-A-Flu-Shot button, videos, press releases, Facebook, Twitter. All can be found at http://nj.gov/health/

The memo also contains additional H1N1 information and a number of other useful links to both Federal and State sources.

We appreciate the excellent work of Commissioner Howard and her Department in helping municipal officials to prepare for and deal with this serious public health challenge. And we commend you for all you have done to limit the impact of H1N1 on your employees and vital municipal operations.
