Re:   Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno to Address the Women In Municipal Government Breakfast “New Jersey – The Woman State”

Dear Mayor:

The Women in Municipal Government Committee is pleased to announce that New Jersey’s first Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno will be the feature speaker of this year’s Women in Municipal Government Breakfast at the League’s annual conference.

Lt. Governor Guadagno began her public career as a federal prosecutor, earning a reputation as being tough and independent, qualities that proved valuable during her successful tenure on the Organized Crime and Racketeering Strike Force.  After leaving office in 2001, Lt. Governor Guadagno became an attorney in private practice, yet continued her commitment to public service, serving on the Monmouth Beach planning board for sixteen years and later as Commissioner in Monmouth Beach from 2005-2007.  In 2007, Lt. Governor Guadagno became the 75th Sheriff in Monmouth County and the county’s first woman sheriff.

Since taking office in January, the Lieutenant Governor Guadagno has been charged with the bringing businesses back to New Jersey as the head of the State’s Partnership for Action.  Eliminating bureaucracy and mandates as the Chair of the Red Tape Review.  Serving as Secretary of State.

Please RSVP soon as possible as there are limited tickets available to this extraordinary annual event, which includes a breakfast buffet.  The event will be held on November 18, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. in the Pearl Ballroom at the Sheraton Hall.  Tickets are $30.00 per person.  The reservation form is available at http://www.njslom.com/95thconf/Women%20Breakfast10Finalgayle.pdf
