Sustainable Jersey has become the most successful statewide municipal sustainability certification program in the country.

Through a collaboration of the New Jersey State League of Municipalities, The College of New Jersey and a range of public and private sector partners, Sustainable Jersey has leveraged an estimated $200 million in government funds and discretionary spending programs across 16 participating state agencies, departments, offices and authorities.

Now it has the chance to rank among the top social change innovations in the national Ashoka /Community Matters “Changemakers” competition. We are one of the top 8 finalists out of 260 entrants.
